Golliath

The painting is of a chihuahua named Goliath. He was painted by Kristen French who had this to say about her subject: 

'This is a painting of a tiny, long-haired chihuahua in Amsterdam, Netherlands. One bright, sunny, summer day, I saw him trott out of a tulip bulb store across the paths of a flurry of pedestrians, including mine, and then sat down in the sun, amidst the wild paced people. His demeanor showed that he clearly felt he owned this tiny bit of the sidewalk. Despite the loud cars in the streets, driving past, or the feet of the people walking on the sidewalk, he was completely at ease. I stopped for a moment to take it all in and decided to photograph him. This was one of those animals not confined by size as he was so much bigger in personality than in form.'
